Finding the Sound

Today was about exploration more than completion. Worked on links and rhythm guitar tracks for a couple of songs—the kind of foundational work that everything else builds on.

Laid some vocals, but mostly as tests. Trying different microphones, different positions in the room. Getting familiar with how the new studio setup responds. Every space has its own character, and you have to spend time with it before you really know what it wants to give you.

The rhythm tracks are starting to lock in. There's a feel emerging—not forced, just letting the songs show us where they want to go.

Not dramatic. Just work. The kind of day that doesn't feel significant until you realize these are the decisions that shape everything that comes after.
